Mariah Racicot, MD

Mariah Racicot (Idaho) received her BA in Medical Anthropology from the University of Montana. She then volunteered with the Indian Health Service, translating diabetes educational materials into Spanish. Prior to medical school, Mariah also volunteered with Family Services of Greater Vancouver, supporting expectant and new mothers with trauma histories by encouraging positive parenting strategies.  She graduated from Oregon Health and Science University School of Medicine.  While in medical school Mariah created a structural competency curriculum for first year medical students and studied the efficacy of this curriculum.  She has also studied gender disparities in preclinical small group participation. She is passionate about exploring upstream social determinants of health and reducing health disparities. Mariah enjoys sewing, hiking, helping her husband make papier-mâché sculptures, and watching The Office on repeat with their dog, Brutus.
