Work Experiences / Areas of Interest

Dr. Jill Hedt completed her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Idaho State University in 2007 and completed her clinical internship at the Portland VA Medical Center, in Portland Oregon. Dr. Hedt joined the Boise VAMC psychology team in October 2006. In September 2008 Dr. Hedt was selected to serve as the Psychology Training Director. Her professional and research interests include cognitive-behavioral treatments for anxiety disorders, substance abuse, women's issues, rural health, and training/ supervision.

Current Clinical Work

Boise VA Medical Center, complete neuropsychological/psychological evaluations; provide individual, group, and couples therapy; participate in leadership and systems redesign groups; supervise counseling, clinical psychology, and psychiatry trainees. Participate in research focused on the role of cognitive responses to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Serve as a Behavioral Social Scientist Volunteer for the American Psychology Association (Office of HIV/AIDS; CDC).
