Work Experiences / Areas of Interest

Dr. DeLawyer has been in private practice since 1988. He practiced for four years in Tacoma, Washington and has been practicing in Boise since 1992. He has extensive training and experience working with children, adolescents, and families. His work with adults includes psychotherapy and psychological evaluations. The latter includes parenting capacity evaluations and regular court testimony about those evaluations.

Current Clinical Work

Psychotherapy with children and adolescents presenting with a variety of clinical concerns; Evaluation of ADHD in children and adults; Behavioral treatment of ADHD in children and adults; Parent education and behavior management training; Psychotherapy with adults presenting with depression, anxiety, and interpersonal/work problems; Psychological evaluation of adults and expert witness testimony; Consultation to a developmental disabilities agency.
