Current Clinical Work

Staff Psychologist, VA Medical Center, Boise, ID—provides psychotherapy supervision for the psychiatry residents and provides psychological consultation for both inpatient and outpatient mental health services. Facilitates individual, couples/family and group psychotherapy. Administers and interprets psychological testing involving both cognitive and projective tests. Conducts neuropsychological evaluations. Designs and implements the assessment and treatment of the psychological aspects of chronic pain. Functions as an integral member of the Comprehensive Pain Team, along with team members from rehabilitation medicine, pharmacy, and physical therapy. Provides diagnostic and therapy services through Mental Health Triage and the Employee Assistance Program (EAP). Coordinates with interdisciplinary team members and provides psychological assessment and treatment as part of the Deployment Health Clinic and Polytrauma Support Clinic Team. Supervises professional and administrative staff activities related to the Polytrauma Support Clinic Team, Comprehensive Pain Team/Pain Management Resources and the Extended Care Unit. Orchestrate advisory/supervisory activities with the Supported Employment Program staff, and assist with continued program development and evaluation. Functions as co-chairperson of the Clinical Care Review Board/Disruptive Behavior Committee, and as committee member on the Extended Care Council, Military Sexual Trauma Committee, and various search committees.
